New Salem Neighborhood Watch Information. Should the need arise, the patrol car is equipped with a two-way radio communication with the Dade County 911 dispatch operator (FIRE, MEDICAL, SHERIFF). If you see us and need help, flag us down. If you are going to be away from your residence or business and would like for us to keep a special eye on it while you are gone, call 706-398-1291 and leave a message on the answering machine or tell one of our watch members. We cover a large area on Lookout Mountain. The patrol car can't be everywhere at the same time. The residents of the community are the "real" neighborhood watch members. They know when something doesn't look right in their area. If you see a suspicious vehicle or person in your area contact the sheriff at (706) 657-3233. Please use the 911 number for emergencies only
